The view from the top.....

So Memorial Day came and went about as fast as i could snap my fingers. I did get to spend some lovey dovey time with Eric though. Lovey dovey time has been hard to come by since the Navy has overtaken my husband and only sends him home to sleep during dumb hours when its impossible to keep a 10 month old quiet. That said....

We took a nice scenic ride to Mt. Washington. We took every back road known to man kind (thanks in most part to my retarded GPS) but didn't mind too much as it was a gorgeous 2 1/2 hour ride. Cailey slept until we stopped for lunch at a cute little BBQ place where she decided to chew on the pepper shaker.....

After we left the cute BBQ place (when cailey was chalk full of pepper) we trekked on to the Mt. Washington auto road. Where we paid thirty one bucks to drive my car 8 miles up a mountain. The view from the top is great but it has to be said "I drove all the way to the top and all I got was this lousy bumper sticker."

I am totally kidding it was a great trip and such gorgeous views and a lot of chatting with the hubby we got some cute new pictures too...

PS... if we look freezing cold that's because we were it was 32 degrees up there with 69 mph winds HOLY EFF!!! needless to say we didn't stay up on the summit too too long!

The Pregnancy Scare of a 20 year Old

Let me first start off by telling you this story is not about me.. I am 19 not 20 so i would have had to title this post differently had this story been about me. Also pregnancy doesn't scare me I conquered pregnancy once with minimal drugs and plan to do so again ASAP!!!!

So Tuesday my friend texts me

Britt- "Does a UTI cause your period to be late?"

Me-"I highly doubt it why?" (because i clearly am not wearing a white coat and am noo doctor)

Britt-"shit i am late"

Me- "how late"

Britt- "a few days"

Me- "aren't you sometimes late i wouldn't worry about it unless you have had unprotected sex"

Britt- "well i kinda did twice"

Me- "the dollar store sells pregnancy tests"

Britt-"are they a dollar"

ahhh I love her. The conversation goes on to the point where she doesn't know who the actual father of this child would be but hopes its one guy over the other. Also she promises me she will keep the baby so cailey can have a friend (also she knows i will kill her if she has an abortion) She takes one test in the afternoon its negative. I tell her to take another one in the morning that test results sometimes show up better in the morning! This morning still negative. Is it bad that i would wish an unwanted pregnancy upon someone so people in my hometown will gossip about someone else???

Pondering

As you all know I have been doing a lot of pondering lately. Mostly about the changes I want to make in my life and the stuff I could be doing to feel better as a person. From all this pondering I have come to a few conclusions.....

Some people ( no matte how long they have been in your life, how many pinkie promises you've made to e beat friends forever which then graduated to drunken cry fests about how we will never not be friends) will not be in your life forever. People change in my case I got married moved 2000 miles away and had a baby. I am just in a different place in life then most of my friends and it shows in every day conversation. I no longer want to hear about you hooking up with the mchottie college boy in the bathroom while your boyfriend is right down the hall. And I couldn't give two shits about how you woke up in the backseat of some random dudes pickup. That is no longer my life and never will be again. I traded it all in for changing diapers, sleepless nights, and an almost absent sex life. Although some of my friends understand that I am truly happy with all of that.

I need to quit my job! I was a much happier sane person when I was a stay at home mommy!! I love that I have the opportunity to stay home with cailey when so many others don't have that chance and I am missing out. It hurts me when I get to daycare and am told that cailey started clapping today has she done that before? And I look at my beautiful baby and want to cry because I missed that I missed her clapping after working with her for so long on it. I need to quit my job and be a stay at home mommy because I miss her too much when I'm not there and I don't want to miss the big things!!

I need to go to school! I know I just said I needed to quit my job but I also want to start school. I got a call about a CNA class starting in my area soon which is a step under my ultimate goal of nursing. I won't attempt nursing school till cailey starts school so I have some time but I think if I can scrape together the money I am going to do it. It's only two days a week and I could get a much better job after if I did want to work.

Something/someone else in my life. I have decided that a faith in god would fill that need for something. I truly believe that by me committing myself to god I will feel better about myself and my life. I am going to start going to church until I find the one that makes me understand why I need god and then I am going to commit my self to him. This is a very big step for me as I have never been gungho about the whole church thing. I have always felt that the world didn't need religion and hated being preached to about how I needed god in my life. But now in my heart I feel I need something and I am going to just do it.

Marriage is hard. Lately my marriage has been quite the challenge. With never getting to see my husband I begin to wonder if being a single mother would just be easier. It helps it argument that I have been scolded yes scolded about housework by not only my husband but his friend who lives in our basement. I do not need to be treated like I am five seriously do not bark orders at me. The world has been against eric and I since day one I am just praying we can make it through all of this.

I want another baby. This conclusion is one I have been thinking of for a few months now. I am yearning to get pregnant. Eric never ever wants anymore babies he even without telling me went and tried to get a vasectomy. We will be having another baby be can count on it! the only reason I haven't started trying yet is I am worried about what people would say. How sad is that, that I am too insecure that I cant have another baby because I am worried about how I'd look. As of right now I am planning to get my IUD out the day after by 21st birthday, but if this baby fever doesn't break it may be sooner.

My last and final conclusion is that yard sales are the bomb!! Seriously!! I spent two hrs lawnsaling today and found myself two books by my favorite author a brand new pair of baby converse all stars for cailey an activity table for her, an Elmo remote, and a steering wheel toy for her all for under 10 bucks woo hoo!!! Gotta love a bargain!

Snotty Nosed Babies are still cute!!!!!!

I dragged my snotty nosed baby to the mall today to get her pictures done. Only because my MIL just sent an ugly picture to all of her side of the family of my child and then stated if you didn't want me to send it then why haven't you gotten her pictures done. (she took her other two grandchildren and got their pictures done for Easter and never offered to take cailey but sent out professional ones of them and one of cailey sitting on a toy duck that she blew up to 5 by 7 BITCHHHHHHHHHHH) anyways so I got her pictures done and was afraid they'd come out awful but you be the judge.....

Personally I think my snotty nosed child did wonderful!!!

Damn Daycare Diseases

So about a month ago I went back to work, for the first time, since Cailey was Born. For no other reason then to get me some adult interaction and to make Cailey some childhood friends. All this smooth move got me was changing adult diapers instead of baby diapers for $8.50 an hour and a bunch of damn daycare diseases.

Don't get me wrong I love Cailey's daycare out of all the day cares i interviewed she was my favorite, a stay at home mom with a 10 month old daughter and a 6 year old son who won't take on anymore infants other then cailey seemed a much better option the the daycare centers i interviewed who said they'd take 4, but since Cailey has been at daycare its one continuous green boogery nose. I've taken her to the doctors twice in the last month for this ongoing cold and they say she looks perfect and to let it run its course. With this swine flu thang I do not want to take any chances though and maybe will be calling them within the next few hours.

In other news MY BABY IS NO LONGER STATIONARY!!!!! That's right people Cailey May Can crawl to Timbuktu and back in time for lunch. I hope to get a video up soon. She is a rather lazy though she will only crawl if u set a cellphone, remote, or glass full of liquid on the floor at the other end if the room. Have no clue where she got that stubbornness from....

Let's see what else is new with Cailey Bug??? Ohhhhh we finally after the doctor told me it needed to be done twice took away her night time bottle. she is still sometimes waking up at night but we just pat her butt and put her back to bed. The doc told me to go in whisper in her ear it'd be okay then get out of there. Cailey is too over dramatic for that kind of stuff if u don't touch her to let her know your there you will be cleaning up baby puke and changing the sheets to the crib at 3 am. She works herself up to coughing then gagging and then vomiting. NICE STUFFF right there.

Let's move on to me because everyone knows i like to talk about me. Lately I have been getting this overwhelming desire to join a church. I know in the past i have been anti church to the point where i would question the whole is there really a god thing. But everyday it pops up into my mind about Cailey and I going to church. I will not even bother to ask Eric I already know his viewpoint on wasting a Sunday. But the thing I don't know how to do is join a church? Do I call first? Do I just show up? How much money do i put in the gold plate they pass around? And then there are soo many different types of church? catholic, Methodist, baptist? I wish i could take a survey that would tell me what religion would be best for me and then open up the yellow pages to the list of churches. Then do i need to be baptized and would Cailey? It's something I want to do I just do not know how to go about doing it.
